Since I only had one full day here, Ramli the host led me on a quick hike into the forest in the morning to see the monkeys and waterfall, and we weaved through many rice paddies and other farms. Later in the afternoon, I was on Ramli's scooter and he took me various villages, where I got to see bamboo work, brick, and sarong handicraft. The room is basic, with a fan to keep you cool throughout the night. The bathroom was also very clean, with warm water to shower. There is also drinking water, tea, and coffee available by the dining area where you can access it whenever. Since I got there late at night, I'm glad there was a menu right at their dining area for me to get dinner. Beyond this, the view toward Rinjani was stunning and the price for the place was worth the value. Also, best way to communicate is through WhatsApp once booked.

Petite homestay très sympa au cœur de Tetebatu, chambre spacieuse avec le confort nécessaire. Propre. Nous avons adoré passer la journée avec Ramli qui nous a fait devoyebri la forêt des singes, les rizières, la cascade puis nous sommes partis en voiture découvrir une fabrique de sarong, de bamboo et il nous a fait découvrir des rizières secrètes où nous étions seules! c’était magnifique. Ils cuisine et pour vous à votre demande et la nourriture est excellente. Merci beaucoup !

Si vous êtes sensible au bruit, l’insonorisation est faible et il y a une école à côté.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Indah Homestay. Ramli et sa famille sont des personnes incroyables et nous on permis de découvrir le village, les différents artisanats, les rizières et cultures, les singes et les cascades et nous avons réalisé un cours de cuisine avec sa femme. Que de bons moments dans un cadre chaleureux, la chambre est confortable, équipée d’un ventilateur et il y a un espace extérieur pour manger (très bons repas matin midi et soir excellent) Nous recommandons !

* No hot water - the property does actually have hot water, and when I told the owner there was no hot water he said he would call someone to fix it today. When I subsequently asked whether the hot water was fixed, he ignored my messages repeatedly (see screenshot). My feeling is that he knew the hot water was broken, but had zero intentions on fixing it during my stay. I'm fairly used to cold showers in Asia, but when it's cold and raining outside, a cold shower is hard to stomach, * Internet is painfully slow, and often stops working. You’ll stare at your screen for ages losing the will to live waiting for pages to load, and the hours pass and you get very little done. Other places have faster internet - I ended up having to take my laptop to lunch and dinner so I could actually get things booked, and not just stare at my screen waiting for things to load. * Communication upon checkin wasn't great - wasn’t given much information at the start. One improvement would be to write down all the important information and hand to guests upon checkin. * Walls are very thin - hear most things on the other side. * People have commented on the hospitatality they received here, but I certainly didn’t get the same experience. No friendly hellos, or anything like that. * Breakfast gets a little boring - most places I've stayed during my 5 weeks in Indonesia serve a plate of fruit and a fresh juice. Sometimes toast with jam. FYI * Don't arrange a taxi through the homestay. The driver that took me to my next destination drove very fast and at times dangerously. The owner said the price was 350K, but the driver asked for 400K (which I refused). You can get a better transport for 300K in the village.
