Apartment is refurbished, very clean and bright. Being on the main street overlooking the Edinburg Castle means you are in the city center. You can almost walk everywhere or use a tram/bus. Kitchen is very well equipped with complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and washing liquid and tabs for the dishwasher. We were pleasantly surprised with exchange of towels during the 5 night stay. The check in and usage of key codes makes it easy when you want to split and see different things - no keys needed!
Of course it is on the main street so you may hear a bit of noise but if you close the shutters and door it is ok. The bed was a bit soft and sometimes I felt like being on a waterbed....but that is my personal perception. The entrance on the street is not super clean but one can say that applies to the whole city center and the cleaners do their best to keep it nice. Everything behind the entrance is super clean.

Location is fantastic; small view of the castle from the smaller bedroom. The location makes it incredibly easy to walk to so many places we wanted to visit. Close to shopping, restaurants and sites. Property is well designed and well appointed - pretty much everything that we needed. Super easy for us to access. Property company was great about communicating and used their referral for parking that was 5 minutes away.
Main bedroom bed was very uncomfortable. Wish that the doors didn't slam shut (or that you could flip to keep open), but that might be fire safety issue. We happened to be there during EDM outdoor concert which meant a lot of partying across the street and in the morning there were always bottles on the front steps (but again, city). Wish that some of the back windows could be opened. (We opened the bathroom window but closed it to prevent everything from smelling like McDonalds, which was a few doors down).
