I wanted to visit Sønderborg and chose this hotel because it was much more affordable than staying in Sønderborg city. It is located a few minutes' walk from the train station, and nice spots of Gråsten. Front Desk wasn´t staffed when I stayed there, but the hotel sends clear instructions for check-in/check-out before arrival.

Was interested in leaving my bags for an hour before leaving the town, so could have been nice if there was an actual staff member to ask on the spot. Other than that, I really liked the hotel

We stayed in an apartment opposite the hotel building. The apartment is authentic and spacious, offering a great view of the castle.

The apartment needs a serious update in terms windows, balcony, railing on the balcony and kitchen cabinets.
