Lovely room, helpful staff and a fabulous lunch We really enjoyed our stay at Palacio de Arce. Our room was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The fabulous gastro lunch was a particular highlight. A very enjoyable stop on our Camino journey.

Excellent hotel while we were doing the Camino del Norte. Very peaceful location. Rooms were comfortable and very quiet. The lady on Reception was absolutely lovely, kind and helpful. We had a late lunch in the restaurant and the food was of a high standard. Short walk into the village although there is nothing much there, apart from a bakery and a bank with ATM.

The only thing we would have liked was a kettle but we recognise that kettles are not routinely provided in Spain.

The property was located away from the highway and in a safe neighborhood. Parking was located conveniently. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The one major issue was the flies in the inside dining area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had to continually swat flies away from us and our meals. The breakfast buffet was sub-par in contrast with other comparable hotels. Meats and cheeses were laid out at room temperature without any refrigeration or covers (flies had free access to all the food as mentioned above). Fresh fruit not provided every day. The lunch and dinner menu is 95% seafood based (not an issue for seafood enthusiasts, but challenging for those with shellfish allergies or other personal preferences; want travelers to be aware).
