Lovely location. Very peaceful.
The Rondavel 🛖 was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, the pillows fantastic and there was a heated blanket which was much needed. We were warm and cosy and slept well.
Stovetop was efficient and plenty of crockery and mugs etc.
A nice breakfast given.
Towels were huge and really thick and soft.
The description said there was a microwave but there wasn’t. We asked for an evening meal, as per the booking description but these are not an option now (booking needs updated). Not a problem, we bought food to prepare our own meal.
There was no sharp knife of any sort and no can opener. Not a problem for us as we also carry camping equipment and so we had our own, but if we didn’t have anything that might have proved tricky. I almost brought food that would have required the use of the microwave but luckily I didn’t. Again, update the booking description because for us, when booking a property, all these things are really important to know.
The shower was lovely and hot in the evening but my husband only had a luke warm shower in the morning. There was no hot water for washing up and so we boiled a kettle. There was a hot water tank so not sure why the water had run out. If we’d both wanted showers in the morning this would have been an issue.
