Stunning resort and great value for money. The staff were all lovely and extremely helpful. The food at Umami and La Parilla was particularly delicious. Lots of variety at the breakfast buffet.

You get given access to an app to allow you to book meals and activities but it wasn’t working so I had to keep bothering the staff- fine because they were so friendly. The activities book up extremely fast so we couldn’t make reservations for anything while we were there. Need to book a week in advance. Dinner at the buffet does not come close to comparing to the Al a cart restaurants but you have to eat there on the first night.

Cleanliness, staff super friendly and responsive

Cretan night, didn’t enjoy the food at all and the show only started at 8pm when it says 7pm so we basically missed the show as it started after, once we left.

No question, the resort is beautiful and well maintained. A huge cross-section of guests in terms of nationalities and ages. Most of the staff are willing and very friendly, exception being a young man in the main bar - short, curt and unprofessional. We met him on our first evening so not a great start, but without exception, every other staff member was charming and friendly. Rooms lovely and very clean with comfortable beds and good air-con. Buffet was good, lots of choice and not too crowded. Come here with friends - I would not come for romance as too many people and not enough privacy in any of the rooms / terraces - the world is always watching!

Check in process was tortuous (25 mins) which is apparently standard. Passports given to be copied, then returned to me. Then taken again for something else. We were 1/2 board and were told that we could 'only' eat in the buffet restaurant on our first night. When I asked for the reasoning behind this, I was told "it just is like this". Annoying and ridiculous. Other examplesof penny-pinching by the resort which left us thinking they are long on ideas and short on execution. And the plastic - plastic spoons for ice-cream, plastic bottles of water in the rooms - 2 per day. A resort of this size could surely desalinate their own water? No apparent effort to be sustainable - and I'm no saint in that department but it was a glaring omission compared to other locations throughout Europe. Not an unpleasant stay but somehow fell a bit short.
