Always love staying at the Mountain View Guest House and have been going there now for over 20 years. Perfect location in the old city near the gate and moat, comfortable bed, great sized room, friendly staff, beautiful garden and dining area in the back, super close to absolutely everything. Mini-fridge in the room and hot water shower are great too! I would highly recommend the MVGH to anyone going to Chiang Mai.
Nothing comes to mind. Everything was great!

I have stayed here many times, and the service has been consistently the same. It's in a great location, the prices are amazing, and the staff is great. They clean the room every day and restock the fridge with two water bottles for free. The bathroom was also updated since the last time I stayed with them.
The mattress is pretty firm but not uncomfortable, but considering it's Thailand and they need their furniture to hold up, I am ok with that.

Location
There was no coffee/tea provided in the room.
Late check-out was not available and was charged for an additional night’s stay.
The balcony in the room 31 was quite shabby and didn’t feel inviting.
