Great location and all you needed in the studio with a large balcony. The landlady was absolutely charming. She brought us offerings of home-made food. Lovely. Diafani is a little gem. The bus journey to Pigadia over the mountains at the end of our stay was brilliant.

Sehr liebenswerte und herzliche Gastgeberin, die uns Granatäpfel, Mandarinen und Spinat pie geschenkt hat. Sehr schöner Blick vom Balkon auf Stadt und Meer. Nette Hotelkatze. Sehr gute Lage, wenn man die Fähre in Diafani nimmt. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Man muss wissen, dass es eine sehr einfache Unterkunft ist, wer Luxus sucht ist hier falsch.

If you’re going up-to Olymbos or Diafani to do a day trip to Saria Island this place is perfect. Did have my doubts about the place but checked the reviews, all seemed fine but still had that nagging doubt. Well I shouldn’t have worried because the Greek lady who meets you is so so kind, cannot speak English, but then I can’t speak Greek but somehow it works. What a great stay. Big room, amazing view from the very big balcony over the bay and harbour . Amazingly clean lovely shower, not new but a great space and water pressure. Two minute leisurely walk to the beach and tavernas, what’s not to like…..and all this for 48 euros a night…. Unbelievable. Fridge, comfy queen size bed, kettle, pots/pans/cutlery. She even brought me out a plate of fried loukoumades when I left to eat on the journey back to Pigadia but I had no space on the quad bike so had to politely refuse….. but what a darling !

Nothing really, but the property states payment in cash only and it is written on Booking.com however be aware as it could cause problems if you don’t have cash. In time this may change but don’t get caught out.

- The old lady running the whole hotel on her own was very kind and helpful. She even gave us figs from her field.

- Too small bathroom with poor water flow - When the air condition is open, the balcony floor gets full of water - Really annoying bed, the noisiest I have ever seen - Unacceptable that I was forced to pay in cash but didn’t get a receipt after I asked for it. Using the excuse that she is not living in Karpathos, the hotel owner told that she will send it electronically, but of course she didn’t. Normally the receipt is given exactly after the payment but I guess this hotel applies its own rules.
