Brilliant cabin, spotless, newly refurbished, warm and well equipped. Beautiful view of the loch from bedroom picture window each morning.

Beautiful location, great views of mountains and loch just as advertised. Plenty of parking, come and go as you please. You'll need to be fully carborne to stay here, it's a couple of miles from Ullapool and the best place to source food is the Tesco there. An easy drive though and no problem finding it. Ian was on hand to meet us the minute we pulled up, obviously expecting us, and offered a choice of chalets! Very helpful and welcoming. Chalets have two secure locks for both the living area and bedroom area, being different doors at either end of the adjoining entry hallways which you can't lock while you're out. That feels unusual, but it's still perfectly secure, just don't leave anything in the passageway - so it's all good. We found the duvet a little thick for the unseasonably warm weather, my partner couldn't sleep well the first night; but Fiona had already texted us to check we were doing alright, so I explained the problem that way and there was a lighter duvet awaiting us in the entry passage when we got home that night! So that was very cool and helpful, and it made all the difference. The kitchen is basic self-catering, cooking would certainly be possible, though we were only in the mood to make breakfasts and then eat out or get takeaways (try the Indian it's great). Bed comfortable, bathroom good, and we enjoyed our stay. Also enjoyed the animal themes to each chalet - foxes' den, otters' holt, etc - very cute! And some birdseed provided for the feeder which was a great touch.
There were no chalets available at ground level, which we hadn't realised would be an issue when booking but perhaps should have interpreted from the ad, which referenced being on a hillside but could probably have made it clearer. My partner is recovering from operations and doesn't have good balance. As Ian offered us a choice, we went for the lowest-level one he had - still a bit of a struggle getting inside in the dark each evening as some of the paths are a little narrow (couldn't walk beside her to help as I usually do), but obviously no problem if you're fine on your feet. If that's an issue for you, I'd suggest calling to check how near the ground level you can get - if we'd done so then there were probably chalets that would have been more easily accessible for us if we'd booked early enough. It was a last-minute decision to take the holiday. TV reception was non-existent and the wifi was a bit flaky. We weren't there to watch TV so that's a minor inconvenience.

Breakfast was not provided which we were aware of prior to arrival We liked the apartment and having space to ourselves including a good kitchen and living room
The only negative was the green safety light which was a bit too bright

Access to Ullapool
Looked old fashioned, although had been updated in the kitchen and bathroom, needed redecorating. Bushes cutting back to ket natural light in. On the main road lots of traffic noise.
