Wonderful breakfast (not just coffee but a broad selection of bread, croissants, cookies, yogurt, six different homemade jams, various types of local cheese, ham & sausages was served on a big table in the kitchen of the host). Unfortunately we could not try their dinner offer as their "Restorante La Nicchia", which also seems to be their kitchen, was closed on the Sunday evening we arrived (maybe one should ask in advance if intended to have dinner there). The delux double room was in a different building (parallel street) in the second floor (stairs). The room was very nice, super clean and calm (on a Sunday night), bed very comfortable and big, bathroom quite small but offered all you need. Location is quite central in Piazza Armeria which is a charming little (bit maze-like) town - very nice to stroll around through small alleys and partially steep stairways, all lit in a warm yellow light duirng the evening - we really enjoyed it! We felt very save despite there have not been many people on the streets during a Sunday evening. Very close and convenient to visit the precious Villa Romana del Casale (about 15min drive).

We (2 persons) had booked the 4-bed room but when we arrived we were told that sth. in the room was broken, so we were shifted to the "delux double room". At the beginning it sounded a bit confusing, especially as the communication was difficult (host exclusively speaks italian), but in the end the room was quite nice. Don't expect to be able to park your car close to the room, even stopping to unload/load the luggage was difficult (we stopped at small Piazza G. Garibaldi, which is at the corner of Via Romana / Via Vittorio Emanuele approx. 100m from the room and I brought our trolleys to the house while my wife stayed at the car to move it as only a forbidden spot was free. We parked the car over night at the stadium (Parcheggio Scambiatore) which offers much space and is free but a 15+min walk down and up again to the appartement (definitively not recommended with luggage). PS: the view of Piazza Armerina from this car park is wonderfull - especially at evening/night!)

Centrally located, within a few minutes’ walk to the cathedral. You can also easily reach Villa Romana del Casale from here. Our room was on the first floor of a traditional townhouse. It was adequately sized and felt really clean. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Although there was a language barrier, we still mamaged to communicate with the hosts, who were really hospitable. We chose to have dinner at their family restaurant and being the only guests, we received a VIP service and home-made food.

As expected, parking wasn’t easy in the area, and some information about where to park would be great to be shared with guests.

le petit déjeuner était incroyable de qualité et de quantité. La chambre était très bien, calme, au sein d'un petit appartement : très confortable pour une visite de Piazza Armerina. Et les hôtes ont été très sympathiques et accueillants. Dernière chose ; le restau attaché au BB est excellent, avec uniquement des produits locaux et frais.

Les petits dejs sont délicieux. Du salés et du sucré. Accueil agréable.

Il nous a été interdit d’utiliser la cuisine de l’appartement et même le micro onde sous prétexte que cela concurrençait l’hôte qui prépare des repas. Repas du soir trop cher : 35€ par personne !! On a mangé pour 14€ pour 4 dans le café de la place de la cathédrale ! Quand on a refusé poliment le repas du soir les hôtes se sont vexés. Appartement très propre mais à la décoration vraiment très très vieille. Matelas extrêmement durs. Départs obligatoires très très tôt : quand on est en vacances on s’attend à pouvoir rendre l’appartement à 10h. Pas ici ! Vérifier bien les heures écrites avant de réserver ! Appartement très mal insonorisé : on entend tous les voisins qui parlent.
