Hotel Schiffmeister

Nous avions une chambre avec balcon et la vue sur le lac était magnifique. Très bien situé pour faire des randonnées dans le secteur et pour prendre le bateau. parking privé gratuit à disposition. De nombreux restaurants accessibles à pied. Petit déjeuner très correct.

L’hôtel mériterait une petite modernisation

Location of the hotel is perfect, and they have nearby parking so you don't need to walk the long distance from the tourist parking area. They have a robust breakfast, but don't open until 8, which is often when you wanted to be out on your way to an excursion.

There is not AC, but the windows open. This is great for a breeze, but not so great with the outdoor noises throughout the night. It quiets down near the lake after the boats stop around 6pm, but it is still a tourist area and folks might be out late and come down to the lake. Not the hotel's problem but just a reality of staying there.

The staff was EXCELLENT. Cleansing lady’s to receptionist 10/10. We had a room with the balcony view towards the lake, the views were unbeatably out of this world. I suggest you to book sea view.

The beds were unacceptable in my opinion. You don’t get a normal double bed but two single beds pushed together which are on wheels. So there is no chance of sleeping throng without the beds pushing apart. For that price, a real no go. Breakfast also run out of bread and eggs around 9am and your always need to request more - which would result in you having to wait - not ideal if you just want a quick bite and head off in the mornings.

Location, location, location. Right on the Konigsee. The room was a nice size.

The reception desk was unmanned the entire time we were there. The housekeeper checked us in (she was very helpful). We did not get the guest card for discounts on the cable car. The floors made a terrible squeaking noise and the bathroom was so tiny it was impossible to dry oneself after the shower. The pillows were pathetically thin. The welcome note referred to a "rich breakfast" so we found the selection quite disappointing compared to other continental breakfasts we'd enjoyed during our time in Europe.
