The Hotel Mani'S residency Madurai is about 350 meters from from Meenakshi devi temple.The hotel ambience is good.Alotted room is with AC and with hot water facility and Free kit is also provided.The Manager is very kind,Polite and staffs are of helping nature.There are 5 to 6 Vegetarian hotels for tiffin and meals within 100 meters from this hotel and I have tried all the hotels for tiffin and meals and found good quality food.Railway station is also about 150 meters from this hotel.Highly recommend.

The location was ideal and very close to the railway station. You can easily walk there even with luggage—it’s hardly 300 metres away.
The auto drivers charge ₹150–₹200 for such a short distance, which is a complete waste of money. If the weather is pleasant, you can even walk to the temple. However, Madurai can get extremely hot, so it’s better to avoid walking during the peak afternoon hours.
Tirunelveli Halwa was awesome, and the Palcova was superb! Both were really delicious and definitely worth trying.
Jigarthanda may not be a great choice for Bangalore guys, as we already get plenty of varieties of ice creams and desserts here. It’s definitely something different to try in Madurai, though.
