House Belfast Hotel

Loved the style and design of the place. Loved the bar area. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were really friendly.

Though the design of the hotel was lovely, it was a little tired in places so could do with a refresh. Close to the hotel were quite a few homeless people by the shops, though generally the area was fine.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our stay a 20 min walk to the centre. The bed was comfortable and clean and the shower worked well.

Our room had a window facing a wall with apartment above , we didn't spend a lot of time in the room so just drew the curtain and the alley below had some noise from the restraunt staff below but this didn't stop us sleeping

Good location, extremely comfy bed, nice sized room. Bathroom toiletries were of good quality, as was the lovely walk-in shower. Nice thick towels too.

Lift was out of order for the 4 days I stayed. Being on the 3rd floor meant more walking up/down than I'd anticipated but I was told in arrival. Also, the staircase area always had a slightly odd smell...not sure what, but it was ever-present. Also, the stairs & the doors leading to this communal area are looking a bit tired - not dirty as such but bit scuffed & worn. A bit of TLC wouldn't go amiss.

Breakfast was great! Staff were friendly and the hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the city center. The bed was also very large and comfortable.

The room had windows facing out onto a 4ft by 4ft patio and there was another hotel room on one side and the hotel hallway on the other side, so we had to keep our curtains closed the entire time so that people couldn't see into our room. This was made worse by the fact that the furnishings were dark and old-looking with some stains on the carpet and the toilet didn't flush properly. When my partner went to inspect it, we found a carton of milk in the back of the toilet, so I don't know how often the room is inspected or cleaned properly. The area of the city is quite run down and dangerous, so I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there alone. Also on our last night they played music so loud at the club/bar it sounded like they had a speaker pressed up against our door but thankfully I don't think that lasted longer than 11p.m. Lastly the elevator was broken the entire length of our stay. It was fine for the short while we were there but I don't think I would stay again.
