Hotel Alexander

Location, staff, room and beds. The staff was very friendly and the location perfect with just a few minutes walk from everything. We had a garden room and the beds were the best hotel beds I have slept in.

Nothing really but it’s Amsterdam so obviously people were smoking joints in the garden and that smell entered the room. Also the room was a bit cold and there didn’t seem to be a way to adjust heat.

Excellent location and friendly helpful staff.

It was very warm in the room and we could not cool it sufficiently with the fan so we also had the window open. It was warm for September but there is no air conditioning if that is important for you.

Great location and breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and there Is a nice back yard

Location

Very expensive for the facilities offered. The room was quite small and there was no fridge, which I would expect considering the price. The entire room had carpet flooring, which made it feel a bit dated, and the air ventilation was not adequate. The bathroom was also quite old and definitely in need of renovation. The shower in particular did not look very clean or inviting, which made the overall experience disappointing. For the price charged, I expected much better facilities, more comfort, and a more modern and well-maintained room.
