Hotel Nettuno

The location was great, the room was great and the staff were excellent despite being very busy.

Very good location on the lakefront away from the hustle and bustle, yet a short, pleasant walk along the lake to the downtown area. The hotel is not directly on the lakefront; a quiet street is located between the hotel and the lake. Convenient parking in designated spaces in front of the hotel is available for €10 per day. You must contact the hotel in advance to secure a reservation in one of the few spots. The building has a nicely designed exterior and interior with a very large lobby with a lounge area, a bar and a restaurant. Outdoor swimming pool in a nice patio area. The décor is somewhat dated but well-maintained. We were greeted by a very friendly staff on arrival and to assist with parking. Our room was small, but adequate for a short stay. The room had a wardrobe closet with draws and a luggage shelf, small desk w/chair, ample number of electrical outlets in convenient locations, TV, WIFI, small refrigerator and safe. Very comfortable large double (US King size) bed. A small but adequate-size bathroom with a shelf to put your toiletry items. Very good breakfast buffet with a good assortment of items. Very nice dining room with an outside area overlooking the lake.

I would have rated this hotel a 9, except for these issues. The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. The walk-in shower was very small shower that would not be suitable for larger people. The hotel price was on the high side for what you get, but I typical for Lake Garda. Not a big negative but be aware that European hotels don’t provide wash clothes, and shampoo and conditioners are often limited, or of poor quality, we bring our own.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The rooms and hotel facilities were lovely and clean. The staff were always ready to help - great experience.

The hotel was in an ideal location right on the edge of Lake Garda and we had a wonderful lake view both from our bedroom and from the breakfast room. Our room was excellent and appointed to a high standard, the breakfast was superb and the staff were always friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk into the centre of Bardolino which proved a superb base to stay on the Lake with easy access to other towns by either bus or ferry. Highly recommended.
