Hotel Alexandra

A little gem of a hotel with lovely front desk staff, perfect for a long weekend stay, and great position. Great to have a desk in the room, plenty of coffee and tea, and a good shower! Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby, excellent recommendations from the hotel and bikes available to rent for going a bit further away. Will definitely be back :)

Excellent location, very central and lots of places to visit, shop and eat nearby. Staff and hotel recommendations were excellent. Bike hire was convenient and also excellent.

There was a slight drain smell in our bathroom, we kept the light and fan on the whole time which helped.

Staff very helpful, ambience, lobby, happy hour is great for a solo traveller

Cramped room, water leak in the bathroom, brown stains on the curtains. Room felt tired and smelt old.

Staff over there are very nice and responsive. The location is quite good.

Our first night got off to a rough start. The bathroom in our original room had a very strong, unpleasant smell that made it difficult to stay in. To their credit, the front desk staff responded promptly and arranged an upgrade to a larger room. Sadly, the upgraded room came with its own problem — the air conditioning was not working effectively, and the room became uncomfortably hot. We returned to the front desk for assistance and were provided with a portable fan, which unfortunately did little to improve the situation, and we had a very uncomfortable night. We hope the hotel will take note of these maintenance issues, as the staff's responsiveness deserves better support from the facilities themselves.
