Grand Muthu Oura View Beach Club

The location was wonderful. Nice sized pool & room, with kitchenette. Great to have the different restaurant options. Loved the Indian restaurant. The F&B manager of the pool buffet was wonderful & always accommodating.

Pool in need of maintenance, the sun loungers were all tied together so yr position was fixed all day! Not the freedom you’d expect on yr holiday. Buffet hot food was always served cold. Majority of the staff unpleasant & miserable! Too many seagulls around the pool & their droppings!

Generally a good experience. Food was adequate but not much variation each day. The bed was comfy & apartment very spacious but it really needs a decor update-lots of dated mismatched furniture & basic tv.

Bathroom was very very dated. Plastic shower curtain is not something you would expect to find for the price we paid! While everything works it’s far from luxury! Very little to do in the way of entertainment at the hotel in the evenings. The indoor pool wasn’t available for use, having work done on it but we were not informed of this beforehand or when we checked in. The WiFi worked fine once we got connected but had to do two trips to reception to get a ‘voucher’ in order to connect.

I am a well seasoned traveller and have been to hotels/Resorts all over the world. The Muthu staff was great. I want to single out Jacqueline who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. All reception workers including the hotel manager were amazing. I like the swimming pool features. The two slides and diving platform were nice. The pool itself was nice. Our room was really nice and clean. Great size, kitchen, wonderful bathroom and shower features. Yes, and really clean. The specialty restaurants and staff were also really good.

-The food in the main buffets was disgusting and not much variety. All these weird mixed dishes that just did not taste good. Even chicken nuggets almost made me vomit. The fries and pizza were cold. -The breakfast had very little to be desired. They seem to cater to the British but even most British don't like British food. Incorporate simple things like Omelettes, hash browns, pancakes, doughnuts, waffles, bigger variety of fruits, American breakfast items like sausage, scrambled eggs or just an egg station. Yes I am American and a little biased but you can't argue with the success of hotels with these items. I encourage the Manager to visit Grand Palladium in Palermo Sicily. Dinner should have Warm, more flavorful pizza, and "Go To" items that people can choose if they can't find anything else. Pasta stations are ways big hits. Choose your pasta, choose your sauce and garlic bread. Always a big hit. - The smoking is out of control. When I am at the pool, which is close to the beach, and I want to enjoy fresh ocean air the last thing I want to inhale is dirty, disgusting, cancer infested cigarette smoke. I should not have to endure it on my balcony, at the pool, ALL restaurants, and on hotel grounds. The facts about smoking are out. it kills the smoker and second hand smokers. It's not fair to make non-smokers inhale that garbage. The resort is big enough to designate smoking areas but people should not be allowed to poison everyone with their cancer sticks. The science is out. It's proven. If smokers aren't smart enough to kick the habit, fine, that's their issue. Don't make everyone else suffer for their lack of intelligence. - With the grounds as large as Muthu, maps need better attention and standardization. There are so many different kinds of maps and they make it even harder to figure out where to go. They definitely need attention.
