Hotel Neu Schloss Otaru

This hotel exceeded expectations. The staff were so courteous, and the rooms were honestly breathtaking, we wished we had booked longer ! It was our favourite stay of our Japan trip this year!! The shuttle bus was also so simple to organise, definitely recommend it!

Classic style hotel with a fantastic view. Private onsen in room was great to return to after a a day out on the slopes. Staff were polite and informative. Breakfast set was delicious. A rare gem in Japan.

1. False information provided ie the size of the bed (it’s king bed size of 180-200 cm on booking.com but it’s only 160 cm on site). 2. There’s additional charge for small child stay though the policy is free for child stay (from our previous conversation before checking in, the staff said it’s an option if you want child’s slippers or towels but they force us to pay upon checking in (though we already have our own for a child) 3.The private bath with sea view is great disappointment as it’s not quiteclean and you can smell chlorine on your skin after bathing. 4. Facilities and rooms are very old with no renovation.
