Zacosta Villa - a Heritage Hotel

It was in a lovely quiet area of the town and the host was very accommodating.

George is an exceptional host who was extremely helpful from the moment we booked. He met us in a buggy at the taxi drop off, as cars are not allowed in the old town, and took us to the hotel. During our stay he organised a swimming and snorkelling boat trip and took us down to the harbour in the buggy. The hotel is a great location to explore the fascinating old town and to wander around the little alleyways, which are well lit and feel very safe at night. George recommended various restaurants which all served delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed the history of the old town, the clock tower (great view from the top), Palace of the Grand Masters (stunning ancient floor mosaics) etc. Great breakfast.

The location was amazing and the staff were so kind and generous and wonderful

it functioned more like an Airbnb than a hotel, no full time reception and the rooms were not clean at all. The bathroom particularly. The bed was uncomfortable.
