Eco-hotel El Rey del Caribe

The location of the hotel was great. Easy walk to attractions, the grocery store and to the main bus station. The room was great - comfortable bed, kitchette, fridge, always cleaned - better than what I expected. There was a small pool - I wish I had used it but too busy out-and-about. The staff was very helpful.

There was only one thing - the shower head - it needs to be fixed. I worked with what I have.

Breakfast was perfect. The room was very comfortable, extremely quiet, and i slept like a baby. The beds were just right. It was extremely clean. Simple as you would expect Mexico to be and thats what made it so great. Water pressure a little low. But we didnt mind it at all. The wifi was slow. But typical for any place in Mexico. They appreciate the simple things in life like water and electricity which was a reminder to us in the US who just take these things for granted. The setting was perfect. The courtyard a small jungle type setting which kept it so cool in the heat of day. My wife fell in love with the place. There is no all inclusive resort that can hold a candle to this place. Everything you would want to experience about the real Cancun is walking distance as soon as you walk out the gates. It is situated near the plaza and lots of stores and restaurants. I kind of don't want this place to get too noticed and in high demand by tourist. But that is for selfish reasons. I want it just as it is now. But the truth of the matter, this place deserves lts recognition. It is the perfect stay!

The water pressure of course is low like any place in Mexico. But a few water valves replaced may increase it slightly. But either way it was a miniscule matter to even consider an issue. Welcome to Mexico!

Lots of greenery around the lovely pool area. The room was clean and spacious. Great breakfast.

Beau jardin au cœur de la ville. La piscine est agréable et calme.
