Madalena's Family Rooms

The entire property is well maintained decorated with taste and love to detail. Throughout my stay I slept like a baby as the bed was so comfortable and the location of the property in a small alley granted quiet nights. The room was equipped with a balcony, aircon, a fridge, a kettle, a capsule coffeemaker, dishes/crickery, a daybed/couch. The shower was quickly hot and powerful. Little amenities such as shower gel, soap and slippers were also provided. I enjoyed the communication with the Angelo who was fun and very helpful. Due to bad weather conditions I was stranded on Tinos for an extra night and Angelo generously helped me out. Madalena‘s family rooms offer a cosy, boutique style stay and I would come back in a heart. I have already recommended it to my friends.

Lovely house in great quiet location near the port and central shops. The beds were comfy and the decor was tasteful and clean. The host was really friendly and helpful.

The quaintest little place I stayed in. The rooms are beautiful! Very comfy bed and good bathroom. Lovely quiet street. Perfectly situated for exploring the little town center with good restaurants and walk up to the church ( which I did three times, and I’m not very religious ) I’m glad I chose the double room in off season, the singles are very small ( but equally nice ) I didn’t meet the staff unfortunately but they are easy to get in touch with.

I loved absolutely everything.

Location was central. However, directions and signage could be improved. There are no street signs on the building corners, so it is difficult to find without help. Had to stop three times for help before someone finally called the host for us. He came right away. Why could he not have met us at the ferry? I had notified him of arrival time, which ferry, and requested directions. Even if this had not happened, there was no way to get access to our room without help from him. He needs to be more proactive with his guests. Host was very kind and cheerful when we had questions or problems. Responded quickly. But, no onsite host/ manager/ reception.

Dated. Could use a refresh of bedding. Especially the “sofa”bed. The pictures on the website do not accurately represent the room. LOUD next door neighbor, yelling for hours on end. It’s a good thing we are early risers. Bathroom was tiny. I doubt that could be fixed. It was impossible to close the door. Cramped. Shower space was ok. Outdoor space on stairway could be cleaner. Balcony is more for appearance. I wouldn’t dare sit there. Too tiny and not sure how safe. The price was high for the value of the room. It was presented, I thought, as a boutique style small hotel. It was more like an overpriced Air B&B. It needs updating( not worn and faded) attention to property overall.
