We had a lovely stay at The Wina at Canggu. Our private villa was spacious and comfortable. The pool was definitely one of the highlights, perfect for relaxing and enjoying some peaceful time. Overall, a very pleasant stay and a great choice if you’re looking for a spacious and private villa in Canggu.

Mosquitoes!!! But that isn’t anyone fault!

Living space excellent social area. Design of the villa outstanding and private. Excellent breakfast.

Problem with toilets. Blocked after one or two uses requiring staff assistance. Doors to living space didn’t close properly, locked but didn’t seal and therefore mosquitos were able to enter. Would also benefit from net .

There is lots of space. You have one building that is your kitchen, lounge and dining. The pool is in the middle. The other building is your bedroom and bathroom. A big advantage of the kitchen is that you get an electric water stand that delivers fresh cool water or boiling water. We never had to buy water or use a kettle. A short walk took you to the front road where there is a stop for the free shuttle. We made a lot of use of the shuttle to get around Canggu.

There was building going on next door to our villa, so Saturday morning at 8:00am we were woken with drilling right behind our bed head. Management gave us a free massage. We had mostly quiet times with other guests, but that depends on who is around you. Noise carries across the ‘open to the air’ pool areas. The bathroom is open to the pool which is nice, BUT, it means you get visitors at night (cockroaches). Management gave our room a spray. In the morning there was often one or two dead or dying cockroaches around. Another disadvantage of the two buildings is that inevitably if you were in one area you found you needed something in the other building, for example, needing the bathroom whilst sitting in the kitchen area. Just little things to think about. We couldn’t really use the pool as the water was too cool. The pool does not receive much sunlight.
