Facilities were first rate. Very clean pool is awesome across the street from CONRADO Beach. Not too far from largest favela in Rio. Rochina which the locals were accommodating to tourist.
They were stingy with their towels.Nacional is about 30 minute ride to Cocabana which if you want to be in the mix is the place to be. If you want to lay low (quiet area)but high quality than this place is for you.

This is the best hotel in Rio de Janeiro in terms of architecture . The views are amazing and the hotel itself is close to the beach .

Absolutely amazing suite overlooking the ocean. Beautiful and expansive lobby with bar, cafe and vendors, and lots of places to sit and relax. Right across from quiet beach, great gym and spa!
Waitstaff and servers didn't speak any English at all.

the location is good, nicely situated between Zona Sul and Barra da Tijuca.
The facilities are run down, the room was not clean (things on the floor and under the bed), the gym's equipment is very old and not well maintained. There is no free water in the gym or in the room.
The breakfast is absolutely horrible - the worst I have seen in quite a while.
