B&B Chiostro San Marco

Good location for one night stay after the ferry to Civitavecchia. The bed was large and comfy.

There is a lot of noise from the street. The floor of the room was quite dirty.

Location is fantastic, middle in the centre. Clear if you are with a car be mindful of small Italian streets. Especially the studio was a nice space.

Check-in and street noise and accuracy of booking information, shower. Check-in: As we didn't receive instructions about check-in before arriving mid afternoon, we didn't have the code or explanation to get into the building. This meant we were stuck with a car in the tiny street, trying to contact the first number (someone on extended leave as she mentioned hours later) then the second number. Effectively, we were there for 15-20min before we could get the right instructions and get into the property. Street Noise, especially the studio is right on the main street and the door is literally the only thing between the bed and the street. So prepare for every conversation on the street to be heard in the bedroom. Accuracy: the booking said 1 double bed and 2 single beds. It turns out there were no single beds, only a sofa-bed. I was specifically looking at this for all my bookings as we were two adults, but not sharing beds. I would not have booked if it would have been accurately mentioned that it is a sofa-bed. Shower needs basic maintenance. The cord to the shower head was leaking massively so water was shooting out in a different direction. We booked two rooms and the second bathroom had mould in the shower / shower head. Quite unacceptable as this is truly unhealthy.

Le petit-déjeuner nous a déçu. Les hôtes auraient dû préciser que le petit-déjeuner n’est pas très varié : des biscottes avec de la confiture, une sorte de tarte locale, du yogourt, deux sortes de céréales de type Spécial K et des craquelins. Il faudrait améliorer le tout ou aviser les clients qu’ils doivent se procurer le genre de petit-déjeuner qui leur plaît. Nous n’avons pas trouvé de boulangerie ou de pâtisserie ouverte à l’heure où nous passions devant alors nous n’avons pu avoir un petit-déjeuner plus à notre goût. Autre problème. L’appareil pour contrôler l’air climatisé ne nous permettait pas de baisser la température à notre goût alors il faisait très chaud dans la chambre.
