Avis et évaluations
Avis vérifiés à 100 %8 / 10Excellent·oct. 2026
I’m Bahareh (a female traveller), and I stayed in the female dormitory. The hostel is in a great location in Shirakawa-go village, and the people there are so kind and helpful.
Kayoko and Kobayashi were especially kind to me. Kobayashi shared so much about the stars, Japanese culture, and everyday life and customs in Japan. He patiently answered all my questions and speaks English well, which made our conversations easy and enjoyable. Spending time with them was a real highlight of my stay.
The only drawback for me was the lack of lockers in the dormitory and the limited space to open my suitcase comfortably. For a one-night stay, this may not be a big issue, especially if you don’t need to unpack much, but it could be inconvenient for a longer stay.

We were received by very friendly staff. Since we arrived very early we were able to leave our bags before we could check-in. The rooms was very nice and cozy. If you want a typical Japanese experience, this is perfect!

Charmante auberge, proche du village.
Très bon accueil !
Un peu cher pour un dortoir mais je ne regrette pas d’avoir fait le stop dans ce magnifique village

Quietness, fresh air and located opposite a convenience store.
The room does not have an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is on another floor and it is very inconvenient especially in the middle of the night. The corridors are not heated and it is very cold after a shower walking back to my room. Apart from bath towels, there is no disposable toiletries. The location of this resthouse is quite a walking distance to the bus terminal and the thatched roof houses
