Our stay at Alza Kyoto was wonderful. The hotel beautifully preserves traditional Japanese culture and history, with elegant design, spacious and beautifully appointed rooms, and a stunning view of the river from our room. The location is simply perfect, within walking distance of Kyoto’s main historic streets and attractions, including the Nishiki Market and Gion, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Their service went far beyond expectations. They were genuinely attentive, proactive, and determined to help with anything we needed. When we accidentally left our sunglasses in a taxi, they went out of their way to help us locate them, along with many other thoughtful gestures throughout our stay. A beautiful hotel in an unbeatable location, with outstanding hospitality that made us feel genuinely cared for. We would happily stay here again.
