Good location and value for money. Bed and air con was the most comfy we have had in our 5 week trip,

Bathroom very small and shower is very squeezy.

The hotel is located in a nice area: not that far from Republique and close to Père Lachaise, with lots of bars, cafés and shops nearby. The room was also clean and tidy.

We like to sleep with the windows open, but if you do so here, please be advised that it's loud outside. There's a bar literally right across from the hotel, and Oberkampf and Avenue de la Republique are both super close by, with traffic all night. It was very, very noisy. With windows closed it's less bad, but then it's very warm. We tried running the A/C, but when we did a strong sewer smell came from the vent so we shut it off again. We smelled it in the shower occasionally as well. Finally, you are not allowed to eat anything in your hotel room (despite the fact that the room has fridge). There's a notice in the room that says you'll be charged cleaning fees if they discover you did eat there. Sorry, but I think that's WILD. If you're paying good money for a room, it's extremely unusual to tell guests that eating there is not allowed, especially in a city as expensive as Paris.
