Nice room and excellent location: metro Sol! There was a bath too!

Bath floor was slippery...rubber mat needed!

Very near the Sol metro, very central, great location,lots of restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. Ring the bell , Up two floors ( four flights of stairs) to reception ( walking so be aware of that) . Spanish spoken but very helpful and kind staff that helped with my woefully bad Spanish. Small single bedroom and ensuite bathroom, v. clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable, there was wifi that worked well. The shower is in a very small but high sided bathtub, so a high step in/out and no mat/grip inside the tub so watch for slipping. Absolutely a great value stay ( I only paid around 50 euros per night!) in the center of Madrid. There is also a luggage keep for Two euros on check out so I had a lovely luggage free day walk about on my last day.

All was fine for me but walk up and high bath/ shower entry may be an issue for some.

Le lieu.

L’hôtel si on peut appeler ça un hôtel est en très mauvais état notre chambre n’avait pas de fenêtre et pas de clim donc une chaleur étouffante malgré un ventilateur, impossible d’aérer !!! En terme de sécurité on est très loin des normes, en cas d’incendie on meurt tous. Il ne faut pas être aussi avec une poussette ou fauteuil car il n’y a pas d’ascenseur et les couloirs pour accéder aux chambres sont extrêmement étroits. L’entrée est glauque, on doit traverser un couloir avec des escaliers délabrés et quand on arrive à l’étage de l’hôtel on se retrouve avec une porte fermée où il est écrit « ne pas sonner ne pas frapper » !
