A truly special place – we wish we could have stayed longer! We absolutely loved our stay here. This beautifully restored medieval property has a unique charm and is so much more than just a hotel. The artistic design, the attention to detail and the individually styled rooms give the whole place a very special atmosphere and character. Our room was beautiful, we slept wonderfully well and peacefully, and the views were simply breathtaking – across the countryside all the way to the sea, with an old castle in the distance. Add to this the lovely swimming pool and a wonderful breakfast, and there really is very little more one could ask for. What made our stay even more memorable, however, was the exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcome and very well looked after. This is a small boutique hotel full of history, atmosphere and personality – refreshingly different from an ordinary hotel. For us, it was one of those special places that you remember long after your trip is over. We can wholeheartedly recommend it and would return without hesitation.

The pools were great, the staff was mostly very friendly, the F&B was very good including the restaurant next door. The AC is working even in 39 degrees and the room was large.

The possibility to hang things to dry are very limited in the room we had and sometimes it could feel a bit dark inside if you closed all blinds to keep the heat outside. The shower drain was clocked, but this got foxed very fast. The parking space is clearly too small for modern cars and this will become a huge disadvantage soon. There is no bar or something to get a drink at the lower pool and the barbecue area felt lost. The number of umbrellas at both pools should be increased so everyone could lie in a bit of shadow at least.
