Amazingly large rooms overlooking the town of oyu onsen. Their outdoor onsen was large and had a lovely atmosphere. The dinner was several courses kaiseki style and they catered for vegetarians. The staff were very friendly. Location very good to visit lake towada and also Hachimantai national parks. The best hotel of our trip.
The aircon turned itself off before the room could be cooled and the windows were meant to be kept shut. The fire alarm gets tested in the town every morning at 7am and the bear scarer rattles through the night. Every evening at 6.00 pm a tourist bus offloaded a new group of foreign guests so need to time the use of the onsen accordingly to avoid the noisy crowds.
