The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring the city. However it could potentially be noisy at the height of season/summer, being in a square surrounded by bars and restaurants. We visited in the early autumn when it was less busy and had requested a higher room so had no issues with noise. The staff on arrival were very welcoming and helpful allowing us to check-in early. Being two friends sharing a room our request for twin beds had also been arranged. Our room was a good size with plenty of room and facilities.
Breakfast was a mixed experience. Lovely apple tart and range of sweet buns. However the cooked options were very limited and not attractive. The coffee was good but the fruit juices seemed to be heavily watered down.
Having had an evening meal at one of the nearby restaurants we returned to have a drink in the hotel bar and were surprised to find it closed / locked up. We were able to go elsewhere but it would have been nice to have a drink there.

The room was better than expected, to the point that I will request that room in particular the next time I am there.
Nothing related to the hotel (the ad board across the square was really annoying).

Great location in Amsterdam, if you don’t mind some outside noise at night. So vibrant and full of energy. Loads of cafes and restaurants as you step out of the hotel. Kind and friendly staff. The room had a nice balcony with seating area with the Rambrandt square view.
There was outside noise late at night from outside which we didn’t mind. The room is too small for a couple and we could barely move. Would be great to add some kind of ramp in front of the hotel entrance. Was a bit uncomfortable for us carrying a heavy luggage over steps, checking in and checking out.

i liked the room, it was clean and the size of the room was good.
I was pretty much outdated, very pricey for what we got.
