Hotel Lucrezia Borgia

Colazione molto varia sia dolce che salata. Camera confortevole, bagno pulitissimo . Luogo tranquillo semiperiferico e facile da raggiungere in auto dalle principali vie d'accesso evitando di attraversare il centro città.

L'accueil tout d'abord. Ensuite la chambre était grande, pratique et propre. La salle de bain était également pratique.

Nice old-style hotel, with a real key, antique furniture, thick curtains and elegant tiles. Easy to reach from the highway (we were travelling through Ferrara and did not visit). Parking outside with 4 spaces for electric charging (specific charging app needed). Clean and warm. Coffee and croissants available for breakfast, outside of the full breakfast buffet.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with ample choice and good home made food and beverages.

The cost was just too high for the accommodation and service provided. I believe that the hotel took advantage of the fact that there was an event in Ferrara that weekend and most hotels were fully booked, to increase the prices of its rooms: I paid 165 euros for a room advertised on the hotel's website at 91 euros. The room was ok but basic and definitely not worth that amount of money (which I never paid for an hotel of the same range in Italy). The hotel charges 15 euros extra for late check in because the reception is not open 24h, despite the fact that they simply have to open the door remotely once you ring the bell. Finally, we also had to pay extra for breakfast, which was not included in the price, reaching almost 200 euros for one night in a hotel that would have been worth half the price. I would have left a positive review, if only the price hadn't been so exaggerated.
