Smugglers Rest Bed & Breakfast

Great price for Whitby, comfortable clean well equipped room, quiet at night and secure, street parking with free permit provided, very tasty breakfast, great location a short walk into town and to the harbour/seafront

Nothing

Clean, in good condition

Despite the name and advertising stating bed and breakfast included, I received a direct text stating it was room only. I tried texting and emailing the owners to clarify this without any response When we arrived we had no idea if breakfast was included but read that we had to order before 8pm so we would have missed it any way. More disappointed about no reply to my text Parking was extremely difficult to find too

Excellent location lovely host. Highly recommended 👌

No complaints whatsoever 👌

The location was very good The hotel was very clean

No real check in just keys left in door Booked king room as thought this would be the best room , it’s actually tiny nothing king about it at all - ground floor room so no privacy had to keep the curtains closed Bed was 2 singles pushed together which slid apart during the night No toilet roll on arrival, no toiletries at all provided and for the price I would have expected something Breakfast is pre order which is fine , but I don’t eat cooked breakfast so VERY limited continental choice only 2 cereals and only bananas as fresh fruit I hear the lady is recently a new owner but also noticed they were the only ones with vacancies I think the rooms are very overpriced for what they offer Also noticed no room freshen up in the daytime and no towel change so had to use wet towels on day 2 There is no one about for check out to see if you had a good stay etc I think this could be a good little b&b maybe when the new owner is fully established but they’re is some work to do here and maybe a re look at the pricing
