Sundaze Samet Hostel & Hangout

I’m writing this review a little late as I stayed in July and August. Great for a little stay if you want to go to the beach all day. Very close to 7/11’s and stores. Most of all though, you have to stay here for the amazing vibes - the staff, especially Golf, was so easy to get on with. My friends and I had a great time

Very clean room and bathroom shower facilities. Aircon great. Staff are very friendly and great service. I highly recommend to stay here as a solo traveller on Koh Samet.

Très proche de la rue la plus animée de l'île, il est pratique d'y aller à pieds et très proche de l'embarcadère et de la plage principale. Le gérant de l'établissement est aussi très gentil et accueillant!

Matelas un peu dur et couverture un peu fine mais sinon tout était ok

My friends and I had an incredible time at Sundaze. The hostel space is perfect, with spacious contained beds and a relaxing outdoor lounge area. Although we had some plumbing issues during our stay, the staff kept the place tidy and clean while they were fixed. More than anything, I want to give a big thank you to the hostel manager Golf, who was a joy to be around and was central to such an enjoyable experience - from giving us recommendations, coming out to the bar with us, and doing his best to beat us at pool (I hope you enjoyed your travel under the pool table!). I hope our paths cross again someday.

Water-proofing the bathroom for the rainy season would ensure cleanliness even during heavy rain, and some additional air fresheners would be a good investment. Some other easy bonuses would be a small basin to spray your feet in before entering the room (so that the sand that washes off your feet isn't just transferred to the floor) or colour matching the towels to the rooms so that other residents can't steal them!
