I stayed one night but it exceeded my expectations and I have experience with other hostels so that I can compare and talk about the best things about this one. First of all, I stayed in an all-female dorm with 6 beds. However, you will probably only see the person in the bunk above or below you, because the beds are arranged in a way that they face either the window or the wall. That is a plus since it will feel so private and comfortable even without the beds having curtains. Other than the beds, the bathroom situation is perfect. You’ll have two showers and two sinks with mirrors and one toilet not all together in one bathroom but situated in different places in the room so everyone can do their own thing without taking up much space or having to wait up just to wash your face etc. What I really liked the most are the showers; you have place to put on and hang up your stuff and there was a towel so that you can dry your flip flops so the floors won’t get wet. There was even shampoo/shower gel inside which is a plus.

The toilet we had in the room didn’t lock, and you had to hold the door but it didn’t cause any problem since you can tell if it’s empty or not. However, it would be better if it is fixed.

Restaurant and bar.

La mayoría del personal es amable y hacen su posible para que tengas una experiencia buena. Me ayudaron a cambiar de cama en cuanto fue posible. Aunque ya les había pedido la cama de abajo desde el momento de mi reserva (soy muy alta y tengo vértigo), cuando llegué todas las camas ya estaban ocupadas. Me caí intentando subir a la cama de arriba. Lograron cambiarme de cama el último día.

Sin embargo, no me gustó la forma que me habló una trabajadora del restaurante. Me pareció ridículo no poder sentarme en la tarraza del restaurante del hostel, dado que no había NADIE afuera y que estaba hospedada en el hostel, y que solamente quería comer un helado sentada. Me dijo que saliera y que podía comer en la cocina (que queda en los pisos de abajo, sin luz natural, sin ventanas), en finales de julio, en la ciudad de Madrid, en plena onda de calor, pero que no me podía quedarme ahí. Además, las camas no tienen cortinas, y no me gustó la configuración de los cuartos. Me he quedado en muchos hostales alrededor del mundo y me parece raro tener los lavabos en el cuarto y no tenerlos en un baño dentro del cuarto, pero separado. Se escucha todo en la noche, y se duerme mal: el agua corriendo del lavamanos, si uno quiere lavarse las manos después de ir al baño, se escucha peor, la gente que vuelve en la madrugada o que hace su check out en la madrugada). Las cerraduras de las puertas del cuarto en el que yo estaba NO funcionaban bien, haciéndote creer que el baño no estaba disponible mientras si lo estaba, o simplemente no cerraba la puerta bien y cualquier persona del cuarto podría abrir la puerta, menos mal yo estaba en un cuarto feminino.
