The hotel offers very spacious and spotlessly clean rooms. The bathroom was large, modern, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was perfectly satisfactory with a good selection of options. The only thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is located on a hill, so the walk back can be a little tiring, especially after a full day of sightseeing. In the evening, after most of the tourists have left, take a stroll around the nearby square and castle, which are just one minute away from the hotel. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and makes the location truly special. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very pleasant stay and a great choice for exploring the area.

Firstly, the welcome at midnight was friendly and seamless with a glass of fizz on offer. Room on the top floor with unbeatable views over the city skyline. Perfect location for us to explore both sides of the river on foot. Outstanding choices for breakfast. Quality coffee and a bottle of red wine in the room. Beautiful toiletries in the ensuite included hair conditioner and hand/body lotion. An abundance of hot water to soak in the bath after a day of stomping. The most comfortable huge bed with quality linen made for a very very good sleep. Super helpful staff across the board. Ask at reception for a slip of paper to say you're staying at the Golden Star to use at the very friendly Golden Star restaurant next door for a welcome drink.
