Hotel Beim Schupi Karlsruhe

Easy to find. Good parking . Good breakfast and evening meal. Comfortable bed and good shower a friendly welcome. We had an upgrade as there was a problem in the room we booked .

We were given the studio . But No kettle / coffee / tea ect . There was 3 beds and a table & 3 chairs. And bathroom . I though a studio had a kitchenette in it . But just something to make hot drinks would have been good in the room . A bit noisy from the train freight line across the road .

Great location for a stop over. Nice park to walk after a long drive and some local shops for supplies. Parking was easy and onsite. Access back motorway was literally two minutes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and aircon made the night more comfortable.. The bathroom was well appointed and clean.. breakfast was very good. Even had delicious streaky bacon and scrambled eggs. Fresh coffee of your choice from a self service machine plus all the usual cereals, muesli, fruit and continental breakfast components. Also had dinner in their restaurant which was very good.

My wife and I can’t get on with German style bedding. The massive marshmallow pillows and duvets. As we travel by car we always take our own pillows and use the duvet cover without the duvet in it as a top sheet. The bedroom could do with some updating decoration wise but the furniture was all in good condition except for the bed frame facing the window which was perished from the sun it would seem. Next time we may consider an upgrade but for a stop over it is more than adequate.

Good breakfast. Dinner in the evening was a bit basic.

Dining room was very basic. Tablecloths and napkins would have been appreciated.
