Parrot Cove Lodge

We really enjoyed this place. We were supposed to stay only once but it ended up staying twice. The breakfast was excellent. The view from the ocean front rooms is worth it. The staff is very nice and rooms are comfortable. The parrot, Rico, is a fun touch.

The sliding glass door didn’t lock but we were upstairs so not that big of a deal.

Coffee and sugar in little bowl, was not appropriate there were ants in the sugar.

This property was well maintained. Absolutely spotless. Very green and right on the water.

Nice location in Hopkins. Right on the beach and a couple minutes drive to nice restaurants. Staff was also very nice. We have a big room with a beautiful sea view and balcony.

It seemed that this hotel wanted to be an upscale hotel. They had an expensive (apparently good) restaurant and the prices were high for the room. But the way it was run was not worth the money. First, they are under construction and we were not informed before reserving. They are adding a third floor and us being on the second floor... Heard hammering and construction work in the afternoon, so impossible to put our kids for a nap. Also it wasn't clean. Used q tips on the ground around the construction site... Super unpleasant considering the price we paid. And lastly, what kind of hotel with a restaurant doesn't have an open beach bar?!? We managed to get drinks when the employees arrived to set up for dinner only... Very disappointed and not worth the money.
