The hotel ambience was excellent.
Our bedroom was lovely and clean and delightfully spacious and well appointed. It was great to be able to independently adjust the room temperature.
Breakfast was delicious and the environment delightful. Particularly the view from the window. Staff serving were very pleasant and friendly without being intrusive. This was also our experience of reception staff.
Swimming pool and facilities very welcome and well organised and availability / opening times were broad.
Internet connectivity good and free.
The extractor fan in the en suite bathroom was ineffective and extremely noisy and the sink was tiny for personal use and filling the kettle was a little awkward as a result.
Food in the restaurant next door was, in the main good and enjoyable though the particular music played not to our liking in the main. Staff energy in this location was low.

The staff, beautiful breakfast & clean rooms
I’d say the only critique would be that the swimming facilities are outdated. In terms of gendered entrances to the pool. We found it an issue with having our girls with us. If the family room was full, we’d have to separate to get dressed.

This hotel is in a wonderful location, set in magnificent scenery, with Mount Errigal in the background and within easy reach of Glenveagh. The food here was also good. Breakfast in the hotel was pleasant, and dinner in the bar next door, which is part of the hotel, was also good. Staff in the hotel restaurant and in the bar were pleasant and efficient. Standards of cleanliness are good. The swimming pool was of a good size and well managed, though its opening hours were a bit restricted.
Our main problem with this hotel was the size of our room, which was very small. There was barely room for us to move around in what was a very compact room indeed.
