Whisky Point Resort

We loved our stay at Whiskey Point Resort. The owners were very kind and fun to talk to. We stayed in the upper floor of one of the huts. The rooms were plenty spacious noting the style of the accommodation and the front balcony was lovely with the hammock - we spent a heap of time here. That's the great thing. This place is designed just for that. Eating time doing very little, relaxing, sleeping, resting. There are HEAPS of activities to do if you wish, but you'll need to travel out to them. There isn't much going on in the area - which is why we booked it. There is a wonderful fitness centre which is largely some weights/yoga mats etc in a fan cooled open sided hut - we didn't use it but if we had stayed longer I'm sure we'd have done some Yoga. The Surf break at Whiskey Point is exactly a 10 minute walk along the beach. You can arrange board hire from the resort - who'll put you in contact with a company in Arugam Bay, of which the boards seem to be a good standard. They will deliver it to / from the resort for free. The Whatsapp service to the rooms and cabanas is fantastic, super quick and efficient. We hired a scooter from the resort to head down to Arugam Bay and Peanut Farm which was a very simple process. The shower is simply not a problem. It's not cold. It's largely ambient temp and is a welcome refreshment with the heat of Sri Lanka, even in the mornings.

Ana, Nicola and the entire team go above and beyond in facilitating a special experience. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

A heavenly spot incredibly close to a fantastic surf location. Nicola and Anna have done an amazing job creating this beautiful place. The staff is highly trained, super friendly, and they make you feel at home instantly. Thanks for everything, guys! We hope to return very soon!!!
