Potbank Hotel

Good location for me for town centre. Room was clean. Good size.

Mentioned my wife has disability and to be put in a room with less stairs and short walk but still a lot of steps and long walk from entrance for her. Not disabled friendly. A lot of aggravation day before when I was rang up by female demanding payment and telling me it was my fault and that I should give them a different card or my booking was cancelled. Transpired it was her fault using an old machine. No apology once resolved. She needs to get some manners. When checking in nothing really explained, wanted deposit and ID from both of us. Surely one would suffice? Nothing explained about room, area, that pub was closed, etc. No real customer service.

Unique location, lots of space in the room

Very loud Karaoke noise disturbed my stay. Not what I would call a quiet room No full-length mirror. The mattress needs replacing; worn springs and soft. Window latch needs repair to open the window

Good facilities in room, clean and comfortable

Stairways very steep and tight, not great if you have a lot of baggage as I did. Parking is either payable 24 hours in the council car park (closest) or on a piece of unlit wasteland a bit further away
