I liked the unit. It was quite large and comfortable. I liked the period features and the fact that it was opposite the beach. The price was reasonable too.

The unit smelt a bit musty and needed to be freshened up and aired beforehand. Also the balcony roof needed attention.

The location The old world charm The facilities were great

Great position being close to the restaurant strip. The ground level private entry to the unit was nice. The washer/dryer was great to freshen up towels during our 5 night stay.

Bathroom is a little small but workably.

The furnishings and staff of this quirky establishment were second to none. Absolutely stunning and so friendly.

I only got about 3 hours sleep! The windows need curtains over them! Outside my windows in the Nelson Suite was a light for the pub next door. Also the noise from the staff and patrons of the pub was so loud. I'm aware this is out of Captain's Retreat hands. Also out if their hands was the hoons who decided it was drag night in Williamstown! This is a really beautiful, quirky house who unfortunately has outside interference. Please put some curtains on the windows. I expected better for the amount of money they charge.
