Staff were excellent! They were super accommodating, never made it feel like a request was too much.
Only that this is not the ideal location for people who want to be on the go as there is a commute via scooter to/from the centre for about 3-5min or a 20min walk (it is hilly, not flat). So we scootered our 3 kids (8, 10 and 1) about 3 round trips a day which I can also imagine was a lot of work for staff, too. My kids loved the ride though, and the staff know the commute very veey well. I always felt safe.

Lovely friendly staff. Great peaceful location. A short 15 minute walk to main street, or take scooter drop off/pick up 24h. Lovely plentiful varied breakfast. Really strong fast WiFi throughout villa and pool area. Pool area is lovely, and very clean.
People mention this rooster but it wasn't up that early and certainly didn't wake us (we get up around 8/830am on holiday). Lots of nature noises in general but that's to be expected as a trade off for the idyllic location. Very spacious room and bathroom. Excellent shower pressure.

This is a beautiful female run property that is inaccessible by car out in the rice field paddies of Ubud. It is quiet, clean and the breakfast was sensational. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Although it's a bit of a walk to the palace, there are some warungs along the track if you don't want to make the trek back into town for a meal. The staff are happy to drop you off on the scooters, but it was raining a bit while we stayed and I was a little nervous about scooters on wet pavement!
The only thing for me was that it was a little too far to walk every time you wanted to head into town. Even though it's only 20-30 minutes, it's hot as there isn't much shelter on the path. This isn't a problem if you are a confident scooter rider/passenger! I did enjoy the walk and there are plenty of places to stop for a coconut or mango juice along the way. The area to sit directly outside the room isn't so nice to sit, but the pool area is lovely.
