The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The aesthetic of the property is sophisticated. The staff are cheerful and gracious. The neighborhood feels work-a-day Argentinian rather than touristy or anywhere international. Clean and efficient public transportation is close so you can easily go see touristy things without having to live amongst them. Food is easily accessible along with a number of truly excellent restaurants. Well done, Casa Umare!
Nothing. This place is truly a home run!

Beautiful building! The apartment is so beautiful and charming. Spacious and clean. High ceilings with wood everywhere. Art on the wall is gorgeous. Balcony for morning tea/coffee. Claw-foot tub. The owner is friendly and helpful. You can eat breakfast downstairs or have it brought to your room. Nice feature.
Could use a few more cooking utensils/pots.

- very beautiful 1920s building, in good condition
- building very badly lit, there are steps which you stumble upon systematically
- when it rains, part of path in the house is flooded
- although kind of nice, the owner unfortunately can be impolite towards women
- unpleasant price discussion even though you might have thought it’s agreed, you’re a tourist $bag and regarded as such
