Room was large and very clean. The shower had great water pressure.
Staff were very welcoming and we felt very comfortable straight away.
They allowed us to leave our luggage when we got there in the morning while we explored the island.
Location was easy to find and close to all the major attractions but in a quiet street

Great location, especially to the huge torii gate and shrine. Delicious food for breakfast and dinner. Friendly hosts.

A beautiful, very well-preserved traditional Japanese house in an excellent location.
Unfortunately, we did not feel particularly welcome. When we arrived, the room was not ready and the staff asked us to go for a walk and come back later. We understood the situation and it was not a major issue for us.
The problem came at check-out. We were asked to leave the property as soon as possible, were only allowed to store our luggage for one hour, and were not even permitted to sit in the shared living room for 30 minutes while waiting for our ferry.
