Hotel Dom Carlos Liberty

An excellent stay very close to the metro, in a quiet and a bit upper class part of town. You can reach the center comfortably on foot as well. Staff was very friendly, great room and beds. The extended breakfast time until 11.30 was very welcome indeed ! Food selection was great as well. Highly recommended

Breakfast was worth adding to my stay, as the food quality was above what I usually expect from a continental style selection offered in a hotel. Great staff, helpful and friendly which made them easily approachable. Location was fantastic, lots to see or do either within walking proximity or via metro

The bottle of water they refilled daily and left with complimentary teas/coffees felt like an intentionally deceptive tactic to trick you into being billed for overpriced water. Especially as there was already the usual minifridge with other priced water options you'd expect, kept separately with the refilled bottle excluded from the price menu so it could be mistaken as being complimentary.

I absolutely love the breakfast: tasty and filling. I also enjoyed the rooms, which were fully equipped with AC, a TV and all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. It is also located next to metro stations and boutiques

Attitude of reception staff when my partner made a complaint re dirty linen left on the windowsill for 2 days, also was expected to pay for extra coffee pods, 4 in room free, no milk pods or creamer, never had to pay for extra coffee in a hotel always been given out freely if pods are too expensive then just put coffee sachets there, also water left in kettle and coffee machine ? From previous guests so couldn’t guarantee they were clean, had to be rinsed out and water changed prior to use. receptionist said dirty linen was nothing to do with her as she was just a receptionist. Receptionists are representative and face of the company and are a link between guest and management and should therefore take any issues and feedback. Second receptionist ( very tall man) started to stand up to my partner and thought better of and sat back down , not enough room for breakfast, I had to wait for other guests to leave in order to sit down and eat, booking .
