I was very impressed by the standard of the hotel even as I arrived. The care given to the outside, the grounds, and plants surrounding the building. The hotel was well situated in a quieter location just outside of the main town/built up area. On entering I found the staff polite, efficient and the whole decor was tasteful, clean and well maintained. Clarity of communication explaining times of breakfast and services available were very clear and accommodating of a relaxed stay. The room was a good size, witha controllable aircon unit, blids and good storage. The ensuite was bright with a nice size shower, and well laud out for ease of use (with towels, shower gel/soap, and shampoo. The pool was well-maintained and very good size for swimming (c 20m length?) and the sunbeds and whole area was clean and comfortable, Breakfast buffet provided a nice simple selection of fruit, pastries and savoury items. A snack lunch option with warm food was available during the middle of the day in the bar area, which provided drinks throughout the day. I noticed the cleaners/housekeeping staff started promptly everyday around 9am, all in uniform, and polite and throrough - you had the impression they were proud of their work and hotel by their deication. I was quietly impressed by the whole approach of all the hotel staff. The location was only 10 mins from Forte Novo Beach and the Esplanade that led along the seafront into the busier areas of restaurants and bars, and shops reached by a 15-2- mins leisurely walk. Also their was a modern Aldi superkmarket nearby, if you continued out of town (5-10mins walk). The Zodiaco offered excellent and extensive parking so easy if you have a hire car. Also a bus serive runs past into and out of town with stops nearby. The main bus station is in the cemtre of Quarteria (c20mins walk).

Lovely hotel; spotless with friendly staff. Nice and quiet.

Great location, really friendly staff, comfortable room and a shower that was far better than most I’ve used in more expensive hotels
