Hotel du Vin Cheltenham

Location and size of room. We asked for a walk in shower and were most impressed by what was provided. Staff very friendly and showed interest in our plans Pleased to get a carparking place for overnight use..

Great hotel we have stayed at before. Location is perfect for the bars/restaurants in Montpellier. The bar lounge is lovely.

We stayed in a standard room for the first time and our room experience was very different to previous. We were shown to a room which was half basement level, the windows were obscured and the bathroom Window was a porthole which was overgrown with plants. It had a funny smell and the shower temperature control was broken.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, fantastic water pressure in the shower, lovely breakfast.

Nothing bad to say - would have liked slippers but thats about it

On arrival reception staff excellent. Later different staff not quite so good. One day all staff in meeting and nobody around to serve in the bar so just gave up and went out elsewhere. Only 2 staff in breakfast when there was a big coach party in. Food not replenished on buffet in a timely fashion. Room ok not sure about bath in bedroom. Shabby and small bathroom. Very dark. Some fixtures eg toilet roll holder broken. Lightbulb out in bedroom. Does nobody check the rooms before guests arrive ? We have now stayed in 3 Hotel du Vin and no stay was without problems. Expensive for what it was and bar prices eyewateringly expensive. Staff super friendly and very helpful in their defence. Next time we have a weekend away will probably source alternative accommodation.
