St Christopher's Bruges - The Bauhaus

I really enjoyed the bar; and the bartender. They has gluten free beer. The bed was comfortable. Female dorm was alright.

I did not like the very heavy metal lock unit underneath the beds, getting my stuff out was quite a duty. I even had lower back pain upon having wrongly pulled it on the first day.

Located very conveniently. Walking distance to many attractions. Washrooms were clean and the halls quiet and private

We had a really disturbing experience with one of the bauhaus staff. We requested our bottle be filled with water from the reception. We requested warm water. The female working at the reception desk misunderstood our request and proceeded to fill in our metal bottle with boiling water from the coffee maker. - burning her hands slightly. Before we could comprehend what happened she dropped the bottle. And started yelling at us and scowling. She proceeded to scowl and while washing her hands from the nearby tap. Then, she flicked water towards us and left the counter. It took us a minute to figure out what happened. We understand the frustration of having your hand burn, (although it was not that serious, if you work with a coffee machine these accidents are bound to happen) however, flocking water at guests while yelling is incredibly disrespectful and degrading. There was a man sitting at the counter who did not even lift a finger to de-escalate the situation. We left wondering if the treatment would have been the same if our skin colour was different.

Great location, comfortable rooms, excellent staff, never felt unsafe!
