Beautiful location and views of the city. We particularly enjoyed the open-air dining overlooking the city. The trails with the waterfall around the hotel were beautiful and perfect to kill a morning if you’re not staying long. All staff were lovely and helpful (taking bags, bringing umbrellas to you), especially our driver Luis. Rooms were great, had everything you’d needed with spectacular views. We stayed here twice and would stay here again if we needed a layover in San Jose.

As it’s a little further out, it’s not on the usual hotel pick up list for tour operators/shuttle transfers, but the hotel arranged transport for us and ubers are easy and reliable.

Botanic gardens, extremely low radio frequency, kind staff, amazing breakfast, eggs from real free range chickens on the property. I saw rhem happily walking outside their house/coop. They have free access to the outdoors. Balcony garden, privacy with view. Quiet only, sounds of nature. Our go to when near SJO

I would like incandescent lighting. No LED bulbs please. We have Ethernet only in our home so we want the i ternet to be hardwired. Looking for LIFI internet. Communicating with Light not radio. Nature communicates with Light, why not humans?

Conveniently located for the airport, very secure and safe, good restaurant (book early to avoid disappointment!), spacious room. Beautiful views over San Jose and fantastic gardens.

Although the room was large it felt quite sparse with only harsh white lighting. The hotel is clear that it only has wifi in the main lobby area, but for the price charged, it is not unreasonable to expect that it should by now have invested in the technology to provide wifi in all the rooms (especially as the phone signal was non-existent too!). Very noisy night with low flying aircraft, motorcycles, cows and dogs. Whilst the food was good, there did not seem to be sufficient space to accommodate all the residents at a time of their choosing which is a real shortcoming given the lack of other dining options in the area.
